A historic monument

The Hotel Hirschen has a history dating back to the 16th century. In 1523, the guesthouse was first mentioned. In 1797, writer Johann Wolfgang Goethe noted his stay in the Hotel Hirschen in his diary. The rediscovered murals on the building’s facade lend the Hotel Hirschen historic importance.

The Hotel was renovated between 2003 and 2007 with painstaking care and passion for details. The building has been declared a historic monument by the Canton of Zurich and the Swiss Confederation.
